Sunset at the Lakeshore

The best light a wedding photographer can get is at the time around sunset. Especially at the sea- or lakeshore. I shot these pictures of Nathalie and Frank at around 9PM at the lake of Zurich. The light at the last 5 minutes before sunset produces this special warm skin tones and sheer light seams around the couple, that even in black and white works fine. I used a flashlight to enlighten and a golden sunbouncer to reflect the faint ambient light into their faces. If you like this character of lightening, plan your shooting at sunset.

I like the situations on wedding shootings when the bride gets her make up and hair done. On wedding shootings the photographers often miss these moments. They are especially intimate and give the whole wedding album a touch of a private note. In this case, Evelyn had her private make up artist, a friend from her workplace, who did a awesome job and was all the time joking, what created a funny atmosphere. Enjoy the pictures.
